Your files stay on your device

Videos and audio files you open are converted entirely inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else, and we cannot see them.

Converted files are saved directly to your device or offered as a download from your browser's memory.

Information we collect

Usage analytics: we record anonymous events such as which task you chose, the input and output formats, file size and duration, whether an export succeeded, and technical details about your browser. These events never include the contents or names of your files.

Requests you type: if you describe what you want in the request box, that text is sent to our settings assistant, which uses an AI provider to suggest export settings. It is processed to answer your request and is not used to identify you.

Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Your IP address is also used briefly to limit how many assistant requests can be made per minute.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices.

Analytics and measurement

We use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to find and fix errors, and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to completed conversions. These services may set cookies or use similar storage in your browser.

Cookies and local storage

Besides the analytics and advertising cookies above, the site stores your language preference and keeps a copy of its own code in your browser so it loads faster and keeps working offline. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized advertising cookies are used, and can change that choice later.

Service providers

We rely on Cloudflare for hosting and the settings assistant, PostHog and Google for analytics, Google for advertising, and an AI provider to answer requests typed in the request box. They process data on our behalf or under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and California privacy law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell personal information.

To make a request, email us at the address below. Because we do not ask for accounts or names, we usually hold very little that can be linked to you.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
